The Village of Tinley Park engaged CBBEL to design and construct the rehabilitation of its Post 5 Lift Station, which had reached the end of its service life and needed replacement. The project included installation of a 300,000-gallon cast-in-place concrete underground storage system, a 500 kW diesel engine standby generator, two 280 HP pumps and a control building with an automatic transfer switch, main circuit breaker and motor control center. The project also required the decommissioning and demolition of the existing control building and site restoration.
