The project was a comprehensive stabilization project focused on significantly reducing erosion and downstream sedimentation and restoring the stream channel. Tactics included streambank bioengineering, grade control and restoration of a 2,000-foot stream corridor. The work also restored the adjoining woodland through the removal of non-native vegetation and through a long-term management/stewardship program. This project has significantly decreased the amount of sediment that currently drains and discharges into the Fox River.
