CBBEL worked with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC) for more than five years on the Addison Creek Reservoir, a flood control project designed to benefit the communities along Addison Creek. The 600-acre-foot reservoir is located in Bellwood and holds almost 200 million gallons of stormwater. The project included installation of two 87.5-inch steel pipes bored under the railroad tracks between the creek and the reservoir, as well as a concrete spillway to dissipate the energy of incoming floodwaters.
The CBBEL team also assisted the MWRDGC during construction of the reservoir, including on-site environmental services, field surveying services and review of shop drawings and submittals.
