Our staff has completed more than 8,500 environmental resource projects, more than 3,000 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit applications and more than 1,000 wetland mitigation plans.

Overview

Our environmental professionals have completed more than 8,500 environmental resource projects covering more than 1,000,000 acres of land and have obtained more than 3,000 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 permits with accompanying IEPA water quality certifications. The department has designed more than 1,000 wetland mitigation and native restoration projects covering thousands of acres. Additionally, staff have designed miles of stream restoration and stabilization projects. CBBEL has a full suite of equipment to complete small mammal, snake, bat, fish and mussel surveys; prescribed burns; brush clearing; and prairie, woodland and wetland restoration projects. CBBEL staff completes wetland reviews for more than 20 communities and is well-versed in the completion of Environmental Assessments, Biologic Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements.

CBBEL has extensive experience working for a wide range of utility companies and was the lead Wetland, Waters, and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Expert on the decommissioning of a nuclear power plant. CBBEL also completes NPDES compliance audits for sites across the United States for a large national home builder and a number of other similar clients.

CBBEL staff are certified Professional Wetland Scientists, Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control, Certified Wetland Specialists, Certified Arborists and Designated Erosion Control Inspectors. They have had 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training, Railroad Safety Training, and are members of the ISN Safety Network.
