2011 Engineering Excellence Award – ACEC Illinois

CBBEL was part of the CH2MHill Project Team retained by IDOT to prepare a Tier One and Tier Two Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and supporting engineering studies for the extension of the Elgin O’Hare Expressway from I-290 to O’Hare Airport, and a West Bypass of O’Hare Airport from I-90 on the north to I-294 on the south.  The CBBEL Drainage Department provided Concept Full Build and preliminary Initial Construction Phase (ICP) drainage plans for the entire study area.
