When the Village of Lincolnwood wanted to change its water supply from the City of Chicago to the City of Evanston, they turned to CBBEL to conduct the route study and design. CBBEL was tasked with reviewing an alternate water supply and evaluating Evanston’s rate model.

The team determined and evaluated three potential routes for the roughly three miles of 20-inch transmission main that would be required. Village staff and Council accepted the recommended route and CBBEL entered into Phase II design, including topographic survey, soil investigation, permitting and bidding assistance.
