CBBEL was part of the BCP Partners Joint Venture with Bowman Barrett and Primera selected by the Tollway to prepare a Master Plan and 30% Concept Design work for the reconstruction of the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway from the Elgin Toll Plaza to US 20 near Hampshire, a distance of approximately 12 miles. Construction plans were prepared on an accelerated schedule for the section from IL 72 to Elgin Toll Plaza to coincide with planned bridge work within this section and to provide for traffic staging needs for the overall improvements. CBBEL completed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and floodway compensatory storage calculations for IDNR-OWR permitting of six major waterway crossings and one longitudinal encroachment as well as developed the final drainage plan for the full improvement.
