CBBEL’s Drainage Engineering Department offers specialized expertise in roadway drainage, stormwater management, and waterway crossing analysis, from concept through permitting. Our staff works closely with multi-discipline teams of surveyors, geometric designers, structural engineers, and environmental specialists to create stormwater management systems that meet our clients’ visions for improvements. The scope of improvement projects ranges from residential intersections to miles-long highways. We provide similar services for railways, bike path corridors, and site developments. Our professionals have expertise in additional specialties, including pump station analysis, detention facility design, scour analysis and countermeasure design, and water quality Best Management Practices (BMPs). In addition to thorough knowledge of IDOT and Tollway drainage guidelines and IDNR-OWR permitting rules, we are familiar with local stormwater ordinances throughout the region.
