CBBEL staff brings unparalleled experience and understanding of the latest drainage practices to provide solutions to challenging corridor and site stormwater management projects.
CBBEL’s Drainage Engineering Department offers specialized expertise in roadway drainage, stormwater management, and waterway crossing analysis from concept through permitting. Our staff works closely with multi-discipline teams of surveyors, geometric designers, structural engineers, and environmental specialists to create stormwater management systems that meet our clients’ visions for improvements. Projects range from miles-long highway improvement projects to intersection improvements and structure replacement projects for local agencies. We provide similar services for railways, bike path corridors, and site developments. Our professionals have expertise in additional specialties such as pump station analysis, detention facility design, scour analysis and countermeasure design, and water quality Best Management Practices (BMPs). In addition to thorough knowledge of IDOT and Tollway drainage guidelines and IDNR-OWR permitting rules, we are familiar with local stormwater ordinances throughout the region. We are committed to understanding each project’s unique needs and requirements to develop efficient and cost-effective designs customized to achieve project goals.
