CBBEL was part of the Civiltech Project Team selected by the Village of Barrington to investigate alternatives for constructing a grade separation between US Route 14 and the CN Railway near downtown Barrington.  The selected alternative is to depress US Route 14 under the railroad, necessitating the relocation of Flint Creek Tributary and the creation of two new waterway crossings.  CBBEL was responsible for investigating drainage and detention alternatives and preparing a pump station Hydraulic Report, waterway Hydraulic Report, Location Drainage Study, and draft FEMA Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) for the creek relocation.  The project analysis included a watershed-wide hydrologic study.  When complete, the project will reduce creek overbank flooding in the neighborhood upstream of US Route 14.
